Anyone anxiously awaiting Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey’s upcoming country projects will be excited to know that country starlet Hailey Whitters will be playing DC’s The Atlantis on March 28, 2024. The sold-out show will be supported by opening act Lauren Watkins.

Whitters’ career took root in the farmlands of Iowa, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t as country as they come. Drawing songwriting inspiration from the narrative storytelling of Faith Hill, The Chicks and Trisha Yearwood, Whitters has gained accolades for both her recordings and songs she has written for other artists. Her independently released song, “Ten Year Town,” captured her experiences chasing success in Nashville and struck a note with artists like Maren Morris, who brought her on tour as an opener. From there, Whitters released her breakout 2020 album, “The Dream,” followed by 2022’s “Raised.” The albums together tell Whitters’ story perfectly, intertwining her small-town Iowa roots and her big-city Nashville dreams through her stories shared by anyone who listens to them. Her latest project, EP “I’m In Love,” is a fan favorite, bringing more of the deep emotion paired with the boot-stomping rhythm Whitters is known for.

Doors to the show open at 6:30 p.m: Grab your cowboy boots and get ready to dance to old-school country with a modern sound!
