Maggie Rogers: Concert Preview

Welcome home, Maggie.

It’s been about 2 months since Maggie Rogers released her third studio album, Don’t Forget Me, but it’s “still feeling like it’s yesterday”. The album features nostalgic, coming-of-age lyrics from the perspective of a 20-something, accompanied by country style influences and her signature indie-pop sound.

Rogers’ legacy is painted all over this city. Hailing from the Eastern Shore in Maryland, she often introduces shows in Baltimore/DC as her hometown show. Last year, she headlined Day 1 at All Things Go, DC’s premier music festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion, featuring other artists like Lana Del Rey and boygenius. Additionally, she closed out the opening series at The Atlantis last September, in a homemade dress celebrating the historic 9:30 club.

Rogers has said that Don’t Forget Me is for the earth signs in your life, and written for a Sunday afternoon drive. This Sunday, June 16, seems like a perfect opportunity to take Don’t Forget Me for a drive outside the city (and Merriweather Post Pavilion has free parking!)

Maggie Rogers will headline at Merriweather Post Pavilion, with opener The Japanese House. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here
