And at 7pm, James Howard the program director for DC101, an iHeartRadio station will be giving a talk about his current position and past experiences. Modern-rock station WWDC 101.1 FM (better known as DC101) has been a staple of the Washington, D.C. music scene for decades. Once the last independently owned Washington radio station, DC101 is now owned by iHeartMedia and is part of iHeartRadio, a network of more than 800 stations across America. As DC101‰’s program director and iHeartMedia‰’s national rock brand manager, James Howard is part of the continuing evolution of music broadcasting. As a WVAU guest speaker, he‰’ll share lessons from his radio career, as well as insight into radio‰’s challenges and opportunities.
