Boston indie rock band Palehound will perform at Union Stage this Saturday, Feb. 10. Joining them will be Canadian indie pop band Weaves and Philadelphia indie pop band Tall Friend.

Palehound first received recognition for their debut LP Dry Food. The band‰’s tight instrumentals paired with lead singer Ellen Kempner‰’s vocals produced a dreamy and hooking album. This is most prevalent in the album‰’s track “Cinnamon.‰” With themes of heartache and breakups, this album is anything but sad.

Their latest album A Place I‰’ll Always Go brings the same type of energy. Songs like “Room‰” and “If You Met Her‰” are tender and dreamy, but are still punchy as hell.

Additionally, Weaves released a sparky, fun album titled Wide Open in 2017, which made it to my list as one of the best albums of the year. The song “Slicked‰” is smooth and well, slick. It feels like you‰’re gliding through earth whenever you listen to this song. No one has vocals as beautiful as lead singer Jasmyn Burke.

This show is a must-go. The event starts at 8 p.m. with tickets made available here.
