General Managers

Maddie Ogletree

Year: Senior

Hometown: Fairfax, Virginia

Studying: Public Relations (Major), Business and Entertainment (Minor)

In WVAU since: Spring 2023

Contrary to popular belief, Maddie Ogletree is not that indie guy standing across the quad in a leather jacket. She is simply a Car Seat Headrest loving self-described “weirdo freak girl” who is trying her best.

Andrew Webster

Year: Senior

Hometown: Avon, Connecticut

Studying: Political Science (Major), Legally Studies (Minor)

In WVAU since: Fall 2022

Andrew, Connecticut native and New England advocate, has the same music taste as your grandma in the year 1994. He listens to a little too much jazz; shoutout Blossom Dearie and Bill Evans. He also loves Playboi Carti, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Aphex Twin. He loves to run, drink coffee, and read. When he isn’t in the studio, or the Dav, or running by you on Massachusetts Ave (bars btw), he is probably working on his DJ set, or sitting outside of the National Cathedral. While he’s studying political science and legal studies, he swears he’s chill and normal

Art Directors

Mar AragonRico

Year: Junior

From: Charlotte, North Carolina

Studying: Film & Media Studies (Major), Creative Writing (Minor)

In WVAU Since: Fall 2023

In honor of 2016, Mar is probably gonna start to be really annoying about Miku again.

Benny Geller

Year: Sophomore

From: Charlotte, North Carolina

Studying: Film & Media Studies (Major), Business & Entertainment (Minor)

In WVAU Since: Fall 2025

Benny hails from the land of Bojangles and will always defend his home country of Charlotte, North Carolina. He listens to exactly 3 bands at a time on a completely random rotation. This spring he has enjoyed morphing back into a white girl by bleaching his hair and looping Tate McRae. Benny also loves sports a little too much, and it’s evident in his art. If you ever see him on campus, ask him about the pins on his bag, he loves to talk (threat).

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Director

Angeni Shahi

Year: Junior

Hometown: Princeton, New Jersey

Studying: International Studies (Major), Korean (Minor)

In WVAU since: 2024

If I’ve ever asked you to repeat yourself like 4 different times I swear I’m listening my hearing is just shite from a lifetime of blasting britpop through my headphones at an ungodly volume. Strong believer in the existence of central jersey (I will die on this hill), loves collecting and making tea, and will talk about her pets at any given moment (I have a Shiba Inu and a Tuxedo cat and they’re both so strange, I love them so much).

Web Directors

Rebbeca Haghnegahdar

Year: Junior

Hometown: Bay Area, California

Studying: Journalism & Economics (Double Major)

In WVAU since: Fall 2023

Rebbeca came out of the womb dancing to her favorite songs. You can now find her doing the same thing in the middle of Katzen, or riding her metro bus of choice aimlessly with her noise canceling headphones (despite promising her mom she wouldn’t). When she’s not writing about music, she is most likely still writing because she’s a journalism major. She grew up in the Bay Area where suburban teenage-hood led to her obsession with creating playlists, and feels connected to Trisha Paytas’s husband in the sense that she identifies as water (she’s a pisces). She really hopes you are reading this right now because trying to rebuild this page was hard.

Caleb Tuckman

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Rye, New York

Studying: Psychology

In WVAU since: Fall 2024

If you catch Caleb around campus, he’ll most likely be watching a movie with friends, eating Double Stuf Oreos, or both simultaneously. He will probably make a niche reference to a pop culture event that no one else understands in between sleeping in and listening to a new album from beginning to end. He’s happy to chat about anything pop music, comic book movie, or celebrity drama. Caleb loves his two dogs, Stella and Rae, and looks forward to meeting you!

Events Directors

Sydney Golin

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Studying: Audio Production (Major) Business Entertainment, Marketing (Minors)

In WVAU since: Spring 2026

“I never see you at the club” yeah well I never see you at transmission and sinners & saints. If I’m not scurrying across campus I’m probably somewhere trying to find the next show I’ll go to. If you want to go to a peculiar show that none of your friends will go with you to, chances are I’ll probably be down. Go birds.

Myla Pirmann

Year: Junior

Hometown: Baltimore, MD

Studying: Public Relations (Major) Business and Entertainment (Minor)

In WVAU since: Fall 2023

Myla is back again. She’s always up to something and never spotted without those headphones around her neck. Come visit her at Rhizome sometime and see a cool show or stop by Katzen and walk past her awkwardly as you stare into the glass windows as she reads Stone Butch Blues on the clock. Warning: Never ask her about Turnstile or Charli xcx or Gel or Trapped Under Ice or Jivebomb or The Garden or The 1975 of Twenty One Pilots or the WNBA or… you get the point…because she will not stop talking.

Music Directors

Eli Robinson

Year: Junior

Hometown: Essex Junction, Vermont

Studying: Sociology (Major), Writing & Rhetoric (Minor), Transcultural Studies (Minor)

In WVAU since: 2023

Eli is a Junior Sociology major who’s constantly drowning in a never-ending supply of saved albums on Spotify. If it’s not underground Hip-Hop or post-punk in his Bose quiet comforts, he’s probably smoothing his brain folds with 25 minute ambient songs. When he isn’t bumping bangers and classics, he’s likely starting, and eventually sleeping through, a 70s Godzilla movie or reminiscing about his failed hoop dreams. This proud Vermonter is ready to meet music staff and start filling the rack with hits!

Julia Fury

Year: Senior

Hometown: New York, New York

Studying: Applied Math (Major), Economics (Minor)

In WVAU since: Spring 2023

Julia is an Applied Math major from New York City who loves music. Her staple artists include Hole, Fiona Apple, The Smiths, Nirvana, Radiohead, Lorde, and Car Seat Headrest. When she’s not playing 90s alternative rock on WVAU or doing math, she enjoys film, running, crosswords, and steaming mugs of black coffee. Her prized possessions include her windowsill crystal arrangement and her collection of mostly thrifted doc martens that she has been building since she was 13. She co-manages music staff.

Outreach Director

Isabella Polak

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Miami, Florida

Studying: Journalism & Legal Studies (Majors)

In WVAU since: Fall 2024

You can find Izzy staring at her iPad while indie rock blasts through her noise-canceling headphones, it’s so loud she can’t even hear you standing right next to her. If she’s not doing that, she’s probably hustling at the Georgetown Anthropologie in her worn-down Doc Martens. She hails from the greatest artist’s hometown (Pitbull, obviously) Miami, FL. She loves scrapbooking and publishing articles on WVAU’s website!

Programming Director

Gabi Johnson

Year: Junior

Hometown: Cheshire, Connecticut

Studying: Public Health

In WVAU since: Fall 2023

Gabi is most often seen on campus in bell-sleeve dresses and “challenging shoes” (as once described by a professor), wearing over-the-ear headphones and listening to I’m On Fire by Bruce Springsteen. They love iced cherry chai, compulsively logging films on Letterboxd, the produce section of Lidl, and their cat, Cowboy Flamethrower, who is the most important part of this bio.

Promotional Director

Megan McNamara

Year: Senior

Hometown: Shamong, New Jersey

Studying: Public Relations (Major) Creative Writing (Minor)

In WVAU since: Fall 2022

Megan loves hiking, creating bad art, and making the hearing health on her phone yell at her. If she’s not at her campus job at the Writing Center or coming up with a funny and cool post of the WVAU Instagram, she’s probably busy writing and editing for The Rival and The Eagle. Dirty chais, Diet Cokes and WVAU are the way to her heart.

Tech Directors

Simon Ellerbe

Year: Junior

Hometown: Silver Spring, Maryland

Studying: Audio Technology (Major) Applied Physics (Minor)

In WVAU since: Spring 2024

If Simon’s not in the WVAU or Kreeger Studios, he’s probably in the Kreeger Work Study Office, or chilling. He also enjoys making absurd sounds in PureData or with guitar pedals (guitar not required.) Simon makes abrasive metal as Psychiatric Collapse, and plays guitar/feedback in System Juhasz, and sometimes Suburbanabuse. His few pursuits outside audio and music are coffee, reading about the CIA, and sleeping.

Kenneth Mulvihill

Year: Senior

Hometown: Manhasset, New York

Studying: Economics (Major) Audio Technology (Minor)

In WVAU since: Fall 2024

Kenneth consumes most of their time thinking way too much about music. Living on websites such as aoty and rym as well as theneedledrop’s YouTube channel, they love a good discussion about new music. Kenneth has been spotlighted more than a few times for their music review wizardry, proving they have way too much time on their hands. They stand today as Tech Director because apparently it’s “so much fun” to get to Batelle five hours early, wrap cables and constantly having to ask “can I see a picture of the board?”. Outside of their role of tech director, you’ll know you’ve spotted them when you see their dark blue backpack that has straps dangling all the way down to the back of their knees and is taking their damn time walking to class.
