General Managers

Myla Pirmann

Year: Senior

Hometown: Baltimore, Maryland

Studying: Public Relations (Major), Business & Entertainment (Minor)

Favorite Album: Turnstile – Never Enough

Myla likes music and doing fun stuff! If she’s not attending a show you can find her at a concert and if she’s not at a concert she might be at an event or doing an activity.

Rebbeca Haghnegahdar

Year: Senior

Hometown: Bay Area, California

Studying: Journalism & Economics (Majors)

Favorite Album: Childish Gambino – Because the Internet

Three years ago, Rebbeca walked into the SOC lobby looking for an outlet to give her unsolicited opinions on music; today they are trusting her to help run that very same outlet. When she’s not doing so, you can find her on the bus in noise cancelling headphones, dancing around Katzen or posting pictures of her cat on Instagram (@missmaryjanesanderson).

Art Directors

Mar AragonRico

Year: Senior

From: Charlotte, North Carolina

Studying: Film & Media Studies (Major), Creative Writing (Minor)

Favorite Album: Monsieur Periné – Bolero Apocaliptico

The stress of graduating soon has made Mar regress into who she was in 2017, at the age of 12. This means listening to a lot of Hatsune Miku and playing a lot of Deltarune…

Benny Geller

Year: Junior

From: Charlotte, North Carolina

Studying: Film & Media Studies (Major), Business & Entertainment (Minor)

Favorite Album: Dayseeker – Dark Sun

Benny hails from the land of Bojangles and will always defend his home country of Charlotte, North Carolina. He listens to exactly 3 bands at a time on a completely random rotation. Benny also loves sports a little too much, and it’s evident in his art. If you ever see him on campus, ask him about the pins on his bag, he loves to talk (threat). This fall you can find him somewhere in MPC crying, dancing, or both at the same time.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Director

Gretchen Walker

Year: Senior

Hometown: Nashville, Tennessee

Studying: Film & Psychology (Majors)

Favorite Album: Blood Orange – Negro Swan

Easy to spot by her laugh and headphones she never takes off. When she isn’t in the studio, you can find her working at the Dav, browsing Byrdland Records, treating her Letterboxd like a full-time job, thrifting, or trying to convince her friends to buy AMC A-list.

Web Directors

Lincoln Beihl

Year: Junior

Hometown: Iowa City, Iowa

Studying: CLEG & Philosophy (Majors) French (Minor)

Favorite Album: Jane Remover – Revengeseekerz

Lincoln Beihl feels Conflicted at the Airport Charging Center. He has no idea how to write an appropriately self-humorous bio. He’s sitting in O’Hare eating a Jar of Salad that he bought from a robot; inspiration hasn’t stuck for miles. He feels disillusioned with the Future. He loves Electronic Music. He thinks we all would benefit from having more waterfalls.

Carter Hillsdon

Year: Sophomore
Hometown: Princeton, New Jersey

Studying: Journalism (Major) Business & Entertainment (Minor)

Favorite Album: Frank Ocean – Blonde

Carter is going into his sophomore year and looking forward to taking control of the website! When he isn’t listening to music, you can find him declaring his love for his home state, curating random music-related lists or recording the city on his camcorder. If you bring up Aftersun or the Ethel Cain storyline around him, you will be stuck talking for hours — so beware.

Julia is an Applied Math major from New York City who loves music. Her staple artists include Hole, Fiona Apple, The Smiths, Nirvana, Radiohead, Lorde, and Car Seat Headrest. When she’s not playing 90s alternative rock on WVAU or doing math, she enjoys film, running, crosswords, and steaming mugs of black coffee. Isabella Polak

Year: Junior

Hometown: Miami, Florida

Studying: Journalism & Legal Studies (Majors)

Favorite Album: Olivia Rodrigo – You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love

Isabella loves crafting, physical media, and a good book. When she’s not on the phone with every venue in the DMV, you can find her at one of her MANY part-time jobs. Those of you who know and love her will also note she’s mentioned this in every single WVAU bio she’s done… she loves her noise-cancelling headphones and is an avid doctor pepper enthusiast!
