Welcome to Happening In Hardcore, your guide to the DIY hardcore scene here in the great DMV. October is an absolutely stacked month, so I hope you’re ready to start budgeting!
Starting us off strong is an offering from our own WVAU Events on October 2nd, hosting Gifts Ungiven with support from Surrender to You, Gatwick, and AU’s own Mailing Westward at Battelle Atrium for a night of Post-Hardcore, Emo, and Slacker Rock!
Goomba Productions have outdone themselves with a night of Metalcore heavy hitters on October 11th, including Azshara, XpetalsofcarrionX, xmemories to burnx, and DC’s own balisong, all for fifteen dabloons. This is one you do NOT want to miss.
Keeping it lowkey? WVAU Events is also hosting a night of Indie and Psychedelic rock courtesy of Argo and the Violet Queens with support from Ajola and shame shame at Battelle Atrium on October 23rd.
And clear your calendars for the biggest show of the month because Hardcore giants Turnstile are coming to the Washington Monument October 24th! This one is a freebie, but be sure to donate as all proceeds go to humanitarian efforts in Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon.
And Mind Sculptor Production’s next show on October 27th is making big waves as they prepare to host Can’t Keep Up from Atlanta with support from Limit Break, Fade to Nothing, and Seventh Seal at the Pie Shop!
