Chiptune-pop fusion group Anamanaguchi brings their Buckwild Tour to the 9:30 Club on Friday, Oct. 10!
The New York band blends live guitars and drums with digital instrumentation pulled from video game hardware from the 80s, delivering pixelated chaos that is bound to make for an absolutely explosive live show. They arrive fresh off the release of their latest album, “Anyway”, a project completely unlike any of their previous works to date. Recorded on tape with live instruments, the band departs from their usual perfectionist formula for a raw, personal sound. As bassist/vocalist James DeVito put it: “This time, there was no undo button”.
After composing music for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, Anamanaguchi exploded in popularity and have sustained a devoted following ever since. Doors open at 10:00 p.m. Tickets are still available here for $40.30.
