Concert Preview: Modest Mouse @ The Anthem on 10/18

On Oct. 18th, the popular indie rock band Modest Mouse will be performing at the Anthem in continuation of their 2025 tour spanning late summer through fall. Original member and vocalist Isaac Brock continues to carry on the unique blend of indie and alternative rock he helped establish all the way back in ‘92, promising a show to remember next Saturday.

Modest Mouse was a driving force behind the indie rock boom of the late 90’s and early 2000s, etched in the indie zeitgeist thanks to hit songs like “Paper Thin Walls” and an appearance on the popular TV show “The O.C.back in 2005. Since then, the band has continued to put out new music, though tragedies like the death of original drummer Jeremiah Greene in 2022 have created changes in the band’s touring lineup. Despite this, the band has bounced back more than ever with this year’s North American tour, with festival appearances alongside shows at iconic venues across the country.

In the spirit of celebrating their indie roots, the group will be visiting many historic theaters and intimate venues similar to the Anthem, which is a small, standing-room-only space. Attendees should refresh themselves with albums like “The Lonesome Crowded West” and “The Moon and Antarctica,” which are expected to be heavily pulled from during next Saturday’s performance. With no recent album release, this tour behaves as a legacy act with a heads-up provided on their website regarding popular songs to expect and possible deep cuts to look out for. Fans can go directly to their tour website for information regarding ticket sales and any information they may need about Modest Mouse and their music.
