Concert Preview: Night Tapes @ 9:30 Club on 10/24

Night Tapes is an electronic, escapist dream pop music group that began with three housemates—Sam, Max, and Iiris who moved to the UK from Estonia—jamming out in South London while they happened to be living together. Since then, the band has grown out of recording music in their bedrooms into producing in a studio with more instruments and equipment. Their music has an atmospheric dream-like quality, capturing the essence of London at night. Their debut song is called “Dream,” but their most popular song is their 2023 single, “drifting.” On Sept. 26, 2025, the band released their first album, “portals//polarities,” which also happens to be the name of their tour.

The 9:30 Club, where the concert will be held, has a unique history; it first opened in a part of Washington, D.C. that still had boarded-up buildings from the riots that happened in 1968. The club has booked shows for famous artists like Nirvana and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and has been named the top nightclub by Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Pollstar. The iconic venue is the most attended club of its size in the world, so keep that in mind if you go!

Alongside Night Tapes, Cult of Venus will also be performing. Tickets for Night Tapes at the 9:30 Club on Oct. 24 are still available for purchase here. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. – I hope to see you there!
