Concert Preview: The Psychedelic Furs @ The Anthem on 10/15

Listen up fans of new wave, post-punk, synth-pop, and all things 80s: The legendary Psychedelic Furs are back on tour, this time with support from the new wave king himself, Gary Numan. On Oct. 15, 2025, the Furs and Numan are taking over The Anthem stage for one night and one night only.

The Psychedelic Furs got their start all the way back in 1977; inspired by the British post-punk movement of the 1970s, brothers Richard and Tim Butler were the lead founders of the band alongside guitarist Roger Morris and drummer Paul Wilson. In 1980, the Furs released their debut, self-titled album which quickly skyrocketed in popularity. Shortly after, the band released their second album “Talk Talk Talk”, featuring “Pretty In Pink”, the song that inspired the 1986 movie of the same name. The year after, “Forever Now” was released, featuring The Psychedelic Furs’ most famous song in their discography, “Love My Way”.

Following the end of the band’s hiatus in 2000, The Psychadelic Furs have been touring these past twenty-five years simply for the love of the game. Tickets for this year’s show at The Anthem are available for purchase here. Doors open at 8:00 PM.
