Steph is the label manager of Carpark Records and subsidiary label Company Records. She also is the manager of Carpark’s publishing house, Carpark Publishing. In her time at Carpark, she has had a key role in the success of major album campaigns by artists such as Toro Y Moi, Speedy Ortiz, Cloud Nothings, and Skylar Spence.
Steph got her start in the music industry as a student at the University of Texas at Austin. There, she worked as DJ, programming manager, and music director of KVRX, the school’s nationally known FM radio station. After graduating with a degree in Radio, TV & Film, Steph moved to New York to work in radio promotion for labels including Ninja Tune, Daptone, FatCat, and Warp. Next, she worked as the co-label manager for FatCat USA, opening up a stateside label office. This position saw her working with artists such as Animal Collective, The Twilight Sad, Max Richter, and m̼m. In between her busy days at FatCat, she operated her own record label, Mis Ojos Discos, which released the entire catalog of A Sunny Day In Glasgow. Steph now works as the band’s manager. She lives in Brooklyn, N.Y.
