WASSSUUUUUUUP WVAU?!!!! YOU HAVIN’ A GOOD MIDTERM WEEK?!!!
If you’ve been slumped down with midterms, don’t worry, there is a light at the end of the tunnel- MTV SPRING BREAK! Its the time of year when I go on a nostalgia trip to the great acts of yore- 311, Bush, and the king of Spring Break himself, KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID ROOOOOOOOOCK! The problem about this memory is that most of this music is a bit dated, save for Kid. Kid will always be family and is always welcome for a homecooked meal at Chez Porambo.
So, I had to think- what music would I, ALLISON MICHELLE PORAMBO play if I were this break’s Carson Daly? Well, here are my choices. I chose these tracks without a hint of irony- this is a playlist I would play on my own show. Yet these tracks preserve the cockiness of that Axe Body Spray-filled, wife-beater-ed atmosphere prevalent at MTV’s Spring Break. So even if you are going to write a research paper all break (myself included), you can vibe out like you’re at the coolest party in Miami of the week- even Carson Daly wasn’t on the guest list.
