This week I’m continuing the theme of albums that your parents probably listened to in the 70’s (if they were cool). That’s because Talking Heads: 77 is a seriously cool album. David Byrne is one of those singers who goes 100% on stage, and you can tell just by listening. If you have time- I would also recommend watching the movie Stop Making Sense. Directed by the Silence of the Lambs director, it essentially puts you on stage for an entire Talking Heads concert. My favorite track on Talking Heads: 77 is definitely “First Week/Last Week…Carefree”, followed by “The Book I Read” and “Pulled Up”.
Most people are super busy this time of year, including myself. So I haven’t had much time to go on hikes. Thankfully we have a pretty nice neighborhood behind campus to walk around- Spring Valley. Go look at how cool the South Korean Ambassador’s house is, and listen to some Talking Heads while you’re at it.
