Sun Room Concert Preview – Friday, Oct. 6

Sun+Room+Concert+Preview+-+Friday%2C+Oct.+6

Are you a fan of the Backseat Lovers? Briston Maroney? Inhaler? Are you free on Friday, October 6th? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, the event for you is Sun Room’s concert at the 9:30 Club at 6 pm!

The new surf-rock band from Southern California has been gaining popularity over the past three years. Their first EP, “Sol Del Sur,” was released in July 2020, with the titular track making a splash in the indie rock scene. However, Sun Room’s fame skyrocketed after two of their songs, “Crashed My Bike,” released in July 2021, and “Something That You’re Missing,” released as part of the “Sol Del Sur” EP, were featured in the second season of the popular TV show “Outer Banks.” After a sold-out tour last summer, fans are excited to hear Sun Room’s most recent release, the four-song EP “Outta Their Minds,” performed live.

Opening for Sun Room is British sensation Sports Team. The alternative indie rock band has been touring their album “Gulp!,” released in September 2022, since last year, with classic songs like “The Drop” and “Cool It Kid” becoming fan favorites that truly show the band’s growth since their first release in 2017. The combination of two indie geniuses at the 9:30 Club is bound to be a great time.

The 9:30 Club only offers general admission, so expect to stand, jump, and dance to all your favorite indie rock and alternative sounds. Think of a throwback to summer, driving to the beach and having a picnic with your friends. Those are the sounds that come together with Sun Room’s surf vibes.

To get tickets, just head to Ticketmaster and grab them before they sell out! With fees, the GA tickets are $29. Sun Room also offers a VIP experience for the superfans that includes a ticket, a separate acoustic performance and Q&A with the band, a group photo with the band, exclusive merch, a commemorative laminate, early entry to the 9:30 Club, and early merch shopping for $94.40 with fees.

If you still aren’t sure about attending the concert, just listen to “Fun,” and you’ll know that you need to go! As Sun Room says, “I just want to have some fun live my life before today is done.”
