Garage goes lo-fi

What do you get when you cross San Francisco, a garage band, and a synth? A little surprisingly, this band is no joke. POW! packs listeners with a punch, proclaiming a “natural Doppler effect‰” through their songs. While not quite your run of the mill soundtrack, Hi-Tech Boom is definitely an experience worth having if you like a prominent synth for your base and the low-fi feel of sitting in a basement. In true garage fashion, the instruments just barely carry a melody more than the singer does, giving POW! a gratingly raw sound- in the best possible way. This dense chaos somehow manages to pull all its elements together to form a cohesive album that is absolutely one of a kind.
