A folk album that will mend your broken heart.

Peggy Sue has been around for the past ten years, in which they have undergone a few name changes, released multiple LPs, and toured with a lot of popular artists emerging from England. Despite all of this, the band hasn‰’t received a lot of buzz yet. Their most recent release may be the break they are looking for; the vocals, instrumentation, and lyrics all seem to come together to form songs that are both soulful and mesmerizing. Although the LP in its entirety is a solid folk-pop album, once it nearly hits the midway point with “Just the Night,‰” not one song is disappointing. “Idle‰” may be the best song in the bunch, not only because of the beauty within the lyrics, but because of how unpredictable it is. The trio sings predominantly about regrets and love lost, but they do it in such a way that it seems they are suggesting reconciliation as opposed to wallowing in sorrows.
