Someone say 90’s trip-hop?

English electronic producer since the 90s, Neil Davidge has finally made his solo debut with Slo Light and its chilled out vibe will bring you back to the era of trip hop and glitchy trance tunes. He’s produced Massive Attack’s acclaimed Mezzanine and worked with DMA and even has a track on the Halo 4 score. On this LP Davidge collaborates with Cate Le Bon, Emi Green, and Stephonik Youth, to name a few. The female-backed tracks seem to be the most satisfying – they’re dreamy and enchantingly melded with sexy industrial dance beats. Of course there’s a fair share of intense 80’s electronica undertones, for that check out “Zero One Zero”, a track some Sky Ferriera fans could get into. While the album isn’t stand out exceptional, for those who miss this style of music today, or simply need new grooves, Davidge has got your back.
