Neo-blues with all sorts of unique elements.

Soulful and bluesy, Son Little‰’s “Things I Forgot‰” gives a new twist to 20th century blues by adding in rock and indie elements. Little‰’s vocals are one of the most impressive aspects of this album, and can be heard in their purest at the beginning of “Your Love Will Blow Me Away When My Heart Aches‰” which is very traditional, except for the Hendrix-style guitar solo Little shreds.

The electric beat that underscores “Cross My Heart‰” is another interesting but successful decision on Little‰’s part, as it adds life to what would be an otherwise traditional reggae song.

The EP also includes a remix of that track, which adds a few more noise elements and makes the track just a little more epic overall. Overall, Son Little is a one of a kind musician in this day and age, and could be appreciated by most anyone.
