Dutch dudes making seriously infectious garage rock

Don’t let this band’s name overshadow their potential. The four rockers from the Netherlands debut with a record packed with energy, rebellion, and seriously impressive playing. There’s something to be said about the way the entire album holds your attention and keeps you paying it. Through bouncy melodies that blend 70’s surf-rock and poppy garage rock elements with unexpected guitar solos, it’s a really solid record for being their first LP. The lyrics are carefree but not aggressively; the bass is groovy and the drums will have you up and moving. “I Got Skills” is golden and reflects the band’s super infectious, effortless guitar-playing, sing-along-able, break-something, dance-and-dgaf skills. Listen to this band if you want to start off 2014 right.
