Dry Heeves ‰ÛÒ Boogie Till Ya Puke (Self-Released)

Lo-fi surf rock that really will make you boogie.

To get an immediate vibe from Dry Heeves, listen to the instrumental track “The Swell.‰” It illuminates their purely guitar-based, lo-fi sound, with surf rock inspired riffs. Although it has enough substance, the track could be seen as the intro for “The Trim,‰” which really will make you boogie until you puke, (much like our homies, Shark Week) along with a plethora of other tracks including “What‰’s Your Name.‰” “Pajama Party‰” unhinges so much fuzz that it is hard to understand the vocals except when there are screams sporadically bursting through the band‰’s scuzz, in real Thee Oh Sees fashion. A strong, pulsing guitar kicks off the beginning of “Chew Through Bone,‰” which is later interrupted with a lengthy, and melodic guitar solo making the track a stand out amongst an album filled with energetic solos. The garage rock, surf rock lovers will be sure to find a song or two to fall in love with on Dry Heeves first full-length release, Boogie Till Ya Puke.
