Following their 2012 album, Lonerism, Currents is going to face an excited, yet critical audience. What can possibly be better than “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards?‰Û  However, four tracks on the album have already been released and are widely available (yes, even on Spotify). “Eventually,‰” “Disciples,‰” “‰’Cause I‰’m a Man,‰” and “Let it Happen‰” are all quite superb and quite synthy and quite 80sish. Currents will sport 13 tracks, all expected to be retro yet innovative, introspective yet upbeat. Tame Impala just visited DC at Echostage in early June, but who knows—maybe they‰’ll be back soon!
