Concert Preview: Dogpark

Combining late-90s and early 2000s indie-rock influences, the college-created boy band Dogpark is performing their first national tour with five different openers, stopping by the DMV from which they hail, at D.C’s very own The Atlantis on October 18th.

Dogpark’s friendship of five budded during their time at the University of Richmond. Later into their college careers, the band was formed by member and bass player William Harford. Other than Harford, the group consists of lead vocalist Eamon Moore, drummer Chris Conte, bassist Declan Harris and guitarist Billy Apostolou. New to the music scene, Dogpark released their first single “Now It’s Over” in October of 2023. Since then, they’ve continued to release two singles and their first album “Breaking in Brooklyn.” The boy band’s first tour for the album, “Breaking in America 2024,” is already underway, having started in September, and will continue through mid-December.

For any new time listeners, this may not be your first time hearing of Dogpark; you may have seen Eamon Moore rise to fame on TikTok. Eamon, known as @eamonmomusic on TikTok, has over 400k followers with 17.9 million likes. He’s most popularly known for his covers of popular songs such as, “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” by Jeff Buckley, “Look After You” by The Fray, “Linger” by The Cranberries and “Let The Light In” by Lana Del Rey.  Some of these videos climbed over 1 million views and likes. Eamon’s claim to fame followed him to the Dogpark’s official TikTok account, @dogpark.band, granting millions of views and likes to their original music and more covers with the rest of the band. If TikTok wasn’t enough, this up-and-coming college band has opened for The All American Rejects, played at the Iron Blossom Music Festival and are set to perform later this month with Flipturn and Colony House. Their upcoming tour will feature their newest album as well as their new release “Caviar”, make sure to get your tickets quick here.
