Concert Preview: The Record Company @ 9:30 Club on 2/28

Have you ever wondered to yourself: What if I could understand what Dave Matthews was saying? Let us introduce you to your next steel guitar obsession. The Record Company—a Los Angeles blues-rock outfit—is at large, re-touring their hit debut album “Give It Back To You”, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the grammy nominated album. The tour accompanies the release of a deluxe version of the album. Fans can expect live recordings and never-heard-before demos to accompany a remastered version of the chart-topping record, complete with all the Billboard hits you know and love.

Originating in Los Feliz, California in 2011—recording in bassist Alex Stiff’s living room—the trio has played shows across North America and Europe. They’ve opened for countless stars, including John Mayer, B.B. King, Social Distortion, Buddy Guy, and Trombone Shorty. On this current tour, The Record Company is set to play 19 dates across the US and Canada, culminating at the 32nd annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival in September.

Joining the Record Company on tour is Jontavious Willis, a West Georgia blues guitarist and singer-songwriter who has been praised as a “Wunderkind” by legendary bluesman Taj Mahal.

Concertgoers can expect a lively night of Americana jams. If you want to catch The Record Company performing their biggest album ever, tickets are still available for next Saturday, 2/28, at the 9:30 Club, with doors at 7:00 p.m.
