If you don’t mind, I am going to ask you a few quick questions. Don’t worry, you are not being graded on this assignment. This is just for observational purposes, I promise.
Are you someone who enjoys music of the shoegaze, electronica, dreampop, new wave or chillwave variety?

Are you looking for something to do on October 11th at 7 p.m.?

And, most importantly, are you on the lookout to see more artists live that aren’t Car Seat Headrest?

Well then, let me suggest that you head over to the 9:30 Club to see the king of electronica himself, George Clanton!

At a total of three hundred thousand listeners, George Clanton has been working his way from the ground up since 2012 with the release of his first album, Bad Dreams, which features the early beginnings of George Clanton’s sound. This sound went on to grow and develop, resulting in albums such as “100% Electronica,” one of my personal favorite electronica albums of all time, and “Slide,” which expertly combines elements of electronica and shoegaze.

George Clanton is yet again completely changing the electronica game with the release of his latest album, “Ooh Rap I Ya,” which (in my personal opinion) takes the best aspects of new wave and shoegaze and gives it a modern twist. I am being completely honest when I say this is probably my favorite album that has been released this year and I cannot recommend that you check it out enough, as well as George Clanton’s upcoming concert.

As per 9:30 Club fashion, this concert is GA standing only, giving you the perfect opportunity to test out all of your funkiest of dance moves in public (while also following the rules of concert etiquette, of course) while listening to the sickest of beat drops.

Intrigued? Fortunately, tickets to George Clanton’s concert are still available on the official 9:30 club website. Make sure to get them while you still can so you can justify your life on October 12!
